These unusual celluloid buttons from the 1940s are not quite antiques, but are a collector's dream for those interested in the Plastics. These were produced in continental Europe, and brought to Australia by a unique dressmaker, operating from 1940-1990 in the heart of Sydney.
 
They are in "as new" condition, and would look fabulous on knits, period costumes, coats.
 
Shank button; cushion cut square face has etched lines, with an extruded solid material band pressed diagonally over the top.
