These unusual celluloid buttons from the 1940s are not quite antiques, but are a collector's dream for those interested in the Plastics. These were produced in continental Europe, and brought to Australia by a unique dressmaker, operating from 1940-1990 in the heart of Sydney.
 
They are in "as new" condition, and would look fabulous on knits, period costumes, short coats / jackets.
 
Shank button; tunnel shank at back, moderately high dome with rough pressed stripes on face.
 
Size: 22mm diameter, 14mm high (base to top).
