A stunning pearl button made from the Pinctada maxima, or silver lip / south sea pearl shell. The characteristic rainbow highlights on white of the mother shell of the white pearl are sought after for use in jewellery, and high end button manufacturing, as in these magnificent creations from Italy.


An elegant oval shaped button, 3mm in thickness, has a partially drilled circle on the face that is inlaid flush to the outer surface with a horn ring. Very stylish.
