These Italian designer buttons are made in the artisanal style that Italy is known for.
In this case, polyester is mixed to mimic tortoiseshell; a checkerboard pattern in matte and shiny is further wrapped with brass wire. Exquisite.
Square shaped buttons are measured on the diagonal to determine length of buttonhole.
